Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions
When should I contact you?

Immediately! One of the biggest mistakes people make is waiting to see if their pet will return. A pet you can't locate is a pet at risk. You could lose valuable time waiting, making it more difficult to locate your pet. A brief call can direct your efforts in the best direction.

What are your hours?

While services are provided 24/7/365, I do need to sleep sometimes at night. New inquiries after 10pm may wait until after 7am the next morning. Please leave a message with your area and brief description of your situation.

Can I book a consultation?

YES! Everything begins with a brief consultation. I will want to know about your pet, how it became "lost" and what steps you have taken so far. I can offer tips and next steps to maximize your chance of finding your lost pet quickly and safely. If available, I will consult with you right now!

Why does the website look, umm, terrible?

We will be fully "launching" the website in January. Finding lost animals is my priority, this website will grow as time allows. My plan is to offer data backed tips on preventing loss of your pet and plan of action if it does get lost. Call/text 250-490-6665 if you don't see what you need

Tips to Find Your Lost Dog or Cat
What should I do next?

I have posted tip sheets for finding Lost Dogs and Lost Cats. If you're not sure what to do next, call for consultation.

Put out scent items

Put out some fresh dirty clothes and something your pet lays on, this smell may entice them out of hiding. In poor weather try to use a box or other shield to keep your pet home if they check back. Change those clothes every day or 2 if possible.

Putting out Kitty Litter?

Kitty litter is sometimes posted. This may attract other pets or predators, keeping your own cat in hiding or increasing risk of harm. You may read to spread your own urine around your yard, don't do that either.
