Keep calm and focus on the next task
It's natural to THINK that you can't focus and don't know what to do. You CAN with guidance! Use this site or consult with me to choose your steps wisely and work through them one at a time. Now focus on & visualize your pet being home with you, sitting on the couch or doing normal things.
Seek help and build a team
Family, friends, neighbours, professionals, animal non-profits, volunteers and even people on social media can help bring your pet home safely. After a quick search, contact people that you know will be willing to help and enlist them. Ask people you know willing to help search to come help you, now! There may be also be tasks including making signs and posting & monitoring social media. Match anyone that wants to help with something to do.
Signs that get attention
Signs, BIG NEON SIGNS! Think BIG yard sale signs at intersections that get attention. Get some neon poster-board and make signs like this example. Print a face or body photo as large as you can. Use as few words as possible to make it readable at a glance. Waterproof with packing tape as needed.
How can Lost Animal Finder help?
Consultation is a great first step. As a new business I am currently offering consultations on lost pets in the Okanagan-Similkameen for free. We can identify what your most important steps are and hopefully that's all you need to find your pet and get their furry butt home!
If an aerial search is the right tool and you wish to hire me, I am likely already prepping for the search. Currently offering dog & livestock searches from the air using drone using Thermal(IR) and 80x Zoom Camera.
After more training I plan to offer dog & cat searches both air & ground.
I prioritize searches by risk to animal and availability.
