Help I have lost my dog!

Trying to Catch a Wandering Dog? Here’s What Actually Works:

It’s almost impossible to catch a loose dog unless they’re injured, most will bolt if chased. Instead, let them come to you.

What to do:

Let the dog see you, then sit or lie down nearby.

Avoid direct eye contact.

Don’t call them or chase, this just makes them run.

Use a happy, upbeat voice. Talk as if you’re having the BEST day ever and have something amazing.

Rustle a chip bag or snack wrapper, pretend to eat something delicious, and gently drop bits of food if you have any.

Act fascinated by the rocks or grass (“Wow, this is the coolest rock I’ve ever seen!”). I play with and talk to rocks, so the dog wonders what I'm doing.
